Cursed Review

3.5/5☆☆☆

If I haven't made myself clear, before now,
in an earlier post or on my instagram or twitter page
please allow me to do so now.
Jennifer L. Armentrout is my favorite author!

Her words are a gift from GOD!
She is the Queen of  health hazardous cliff hangers
creator of drool worthy book-boyfriends
and amazeball story lines!

I've been meaning to read cursed for a while now
and I finally got around to doing so.
Last week I walked into my local library
(( I totally forgot we had one of those around here.
I've been so obsessed with buying books
that I forgot I can actually read some for free!
**gasp**))
...
Anyways I walked into my local library and this
was literally the fist book I saw
and I thought
"The gods have decided it was time."

I could not put the book down to save my own life
...or sleep.

I have read many books where the main character has this horrible and uncontrollable ability
that prevented him/her from ever touching someone
but so far Ember win first place in the
I-totally-got-screwed-over-in-the-not-so-super-power-ability-department
considering she can't even touch animals or even plants without killing them.

Can you imagine not being able to:
 Pick up a pretty flower
or pet an animal?
To not be able to touch your little sister
or anyone else?
To never be able to kiss someone you like without killing them?

Well Rogue can.

It must really suck!

What make all of this so much worse is that Ember wasn't always like that.
She had a normal life once.
She was a cheerleader,
had friends, and even dated the captain of the football team.
She use to be a normal girl with normal problems, but that was before...

Before she was in a car accident that killed both her and her dad.

Two years ago Ember had died in a horrible accident, but thanks to
her little sister, Olivia, she was brought back to life.
Now, some people would be glad that they were brought back from the dead,
 but we all know better.

When you bring someone back from the dead they never return the same.
And when Ember came back
she came back cursed.

Now any living thing that she touches dies.

The once popular and out going girl distances herself from others
in order to keep everyone, including herself and her sister, safe.

Two years of Solitude, taking care of her sister and sick mother
has made her a social outcast with only one true friend.
The kids at school call her a freak, because she wears long sleeves and gloves to hide her scars.
If only they knew she wore them to protect all of them as well.

And just when things couldn't get any worse
it does.
Ember McWilliams life gets turned upside down when she meets
Hayden Cromwell.
Smart, Sexy, funny, wonderful Hayden tells her that she isn't cursed,
but gifted like him.
He tells her that she can control her gift
and to Ember that means the world to her.
She'd be able to hug her sister, touch other people and animals even kiss Hayden,
but first he needs her to do the one thing she may never be able to do
and that's trust his adoptive father.
A man who seems to be fond of collecting special children
like her self and Olivia and forcing them all to live
practically in the middle of nowhere!
Total Creeper!

But with nowhere else to go Ember tries her best
and works along with Hayden to get her ability under control.
But when Ember finds out the horrible truth about what really happened
the night of  the car accident that killed her and her dad
it's becomes difficult to trust anyone in her new home... even Hayden.
And with another threat on her life hanging over her head she might actually end up dead... permanently

***
I wish the book was longer and I kind of wish the romance was a bit more intense
but I guess not every guy can be Deamon Black right.
I just have to say that I absolutely love how it keeps you guessing all the way til the end.
Another wonderful book by Jennifer L. Armentrout
she should be awarded with a crown!
But until then
in honor of JLA
I will add a gif of Theo James
because he is Bae!
And we need more Theo-James-kind-of-handsome in this world
*sigh*

Claimed By The Elven King Review

You know when you're bored and you want something new to read,
but you are banned by you ever loving husband from buying another
book because you've already bought five books that month and so
you just scroll and scroll and scroll through tons and tons of free books
on your nook or on the kindle app on your phone until you come across
a book with a pretty cover and an interesting synopsis and so you click buy
and download and you're like holy moly this is fantastic and HOT and
you're so absorbed by the story that you get kind of peeved at the ridiculous
cliff hanger at the end and realize that you need… and I mean NEED to buy the next book(s)
because obviously a story this good needs to be read to the end, promises made to the ever loving husband about waiting until I read all the unread books I already have on my shelf be damned!

*deeply inhales*

*slowly exhales*

Well, this ladies, gentlemen and those who are neither or both, witches, shifters, and other non-humans
(Don't mind me I am high on chocolate!) this is that kind of book.

Imagine waking in the middle of the night and being taken against your will
To another realm for the soul purpose of becoming the bride of an Elven King.

Of course, as any sane human would Emily Ford brushes this off as a dream,
Because there is absolutely no way that any of this is real.

Elves aren't real and even if they were, there is no way she would ever consent to having sex with some stranger, even if he is a drop dead gorgeous Elven King.

Sethian, is the perfect man.
Everything about him attracts Emily to him, but after and night of
Absolutely amazing sex she accepts that this new life of hers is not a dream and
realizes that it is a lot more complicated than she ever thought it would be.

The Elven race is in danger of extinction due to the fact that not one elven woman
has been able to give birth for the past 500 years.
As the Royal Wife her duty is to produce an heir for the King
and if this isn't nerve wracking enough the King's other wife- YES! I said OTHER- the Queen
has no problem letting it be known about how she feels about Emily.

The last thing Emily remembers after waking up alone in her room
is the vague memory of making love to Sethian before passing out, again.
If that isn't strange enough she learns a bit more of her new status as the Royal Wife and
meets her ladies in waiting, and a very rude Queen.
Emily's world just got a bit more complicated and she's only been there a few days.
At least her time in the royal bath with her husband is enough to make her forget about her troubles.

Keeping a secret this huge might be impossible for Emily
but if she can keep her nerves intact a little longer
than maybe she might be able to achieve the one thing she so desperately wants.
The love of her husband.

It's been a month since the last time she has seen Sethian and there are many questions that she needs him to answer; answers he might not want her no know.
Things are getting a bit emotional for Emily, and this separation from Sethian is hard for her.
As shown by her constant worrying about emotional rejection from Sethian.

Claimed By The Elven King: Part Four
4/5 ☆☆☆☆
After the announcement of Emily's pregnancy
the Elven realm expresses a mix of joy and outrage
of the first baby born in over 500 years.
Not everyone is happy about the mixing of races between elves and humans
especially when the human genes from their past maybe the reason why their females are sterile.

Elven politics is not something Emily wants to be a part of,
but the Elven court drags her into their deadly game.
somebody wants her and her baby dead and the threats against their life
just keep getting deadlier and deadlier.

Eternal Eden Review

2.5/5 ☆☆

WARNING: THE WORD TWILIGHT WILL BE MENTIONED MULTIPLE TIMES THROUGH THIS POST!

How very Twilight of the book to have a centuries old immortal
fall in love with a mortal only to the have his enemies tear them apart by trying to destroy one or both of them.

We have the loving and supportive siblings of immortals
and may I just say that Nathaniel and Abigail are so Rosalie in this story.
Too bad daddy isn't Carlisle he's so mean.

Honestly though I felt like all four twilight books were jammed into this.
minus the whole baby thing.

I didn't hate the book, but Gahhh I felt like I was reading a quick and very vague version of Twilight.

I mean I absolutely love Twilight, but geez

   Cora = Alice
                    Joseph = less intense Jasper
  Patrick = Emmit
Nathaniel = Rosalie
Abigail = Rosalie diet with a hint of Esme

And our main lovers here William and Bryn are so the Edward and Bella of this story.
I fell their relationship is way more emotional then our vampire lovers from Twilight.
(yay!)

Unlike Edward in New Moon William is less willing to leave his love
behind "in order to protect her"
Sorry Edward, but I would rather have William by my side instead of you.

Bryn, like Bella, can not understand why someone as amazing as William
(in Bella's case Edward) would love her. Talk about insecurities!

Although, Bryn is a bit more feistier than Bella
they're both magnets for trouble and completely accident prone.

What I like about Bryn is that she is clever and almost everything that comes out of her mouth is laced with sarcasm and I love it.

But like I said
Twilight minus the whole vampire thing.
I am pretty sure that these immortals are some form of angels,
but so far they just call themselves Immortals.
 I know right! Very original.

Well I gave this story a two and a half stars, because it somewhat intrigued me
(maybe because I am a Twi-hard)
but it was a way to simple and very unoriginal except for the whole making an immortal thing
that seemed pretty original
(I think)

Well so far I am interested enough to read the next book so let's see how it turns out
I doubt it can get anymore Twilight-Zone

(Haha! Get it? I know, I know corny, but whatevs)

Becoming Alpha Review

4/5☆☆☆☆

Tessa has always been an outcast
a loner
A freak

She has unusual gift that allows her to see visions of people's past with just one touch.
If she touches someone or  something that's been touched by someone else she'll get a vision and there is no stopping it.

She's had this gift her whole life and has been avoiding it by distancing herself from others and wearing gloves everywhere she goes.

Tessa and her family are moving to Texas for a fresh start.
A place where no one knows about her gift and she can be as normal as possible.

But I one night with an amazingly hot guy changes all of that for Tessa.
One tiny little kiss is about to change her whole world.

And if she thought her gift made her a freak then
Being turned into a werewolf is going to be a trip for her.
And her relationship with the mega hot guy
Who turned her is about to get very complicated.

Not to mention the price they'll have to pay
for breaking the pack law
even if it was an accident.

Paranormal Romance lovers  will adore this book!
I know I do.
With all the
Werewolves
Vampires
Witches
and oh yeah the attention whore
who can't let go of a man who was never hers to begin with

there isn't much in this book for you to hate.

Survival Review

 2/5 ☆☆

There were many times where I wanted to smack my head against my nook.
Yes there were times when I was like "oh this isn't that bad."
But no way Can I give this book a full three stars.
It' made my head hurt through most of it.
I was completely annoyed and multiple times thought about giving up on the book
But I won't lie I am interested in what happened Next.

Maybe I am Just doing some useless hoping here
but I feel that the next book will be better that this one.
I hope.

About Maddie Pearce

I get that she is clumsy, but God if her clumsy behavior is nothing more that just that
and not some horrible effect from some magic or paranormal (plot) twist or whatever
I am going to blow my own brains out.
Yes it is funny sometimes, like when she almost burned the house down,
but I think her clumsiness was over played.
It got old and annoying real quick.
Was it really that necessary for her to be a walking disaster?!

I can't really think of anything else I want to add.
It was funny and all, but I am just so disappointed.
I feel this could have been much better than what it was

Blood Promise Review

3/5 ☆☆☆

This book may not have been as exciting as the first three books,
but it was definitely important
because we get to see some serious
 character development on Rose's part.

Yes she is still the same old Rose
Sarcastic
stubborn
and
bad ass,
but we see a lot of maturity is some of the things she does.

Unlike when we first met her,
she no longer believe she can take on the world on her own.
She knows that there are much stronger, bigger, and badder things out there then her.
she understands the importance of working with others and she
also learns a few more things about her world.

She takes things in and access the situation she is in before making her moves
and that is something she teaches a bunch of rogue Dhampir's she meets while in Russia
.
She is no longer by Lissa's side and although it is a strain on both of them this alone time
helps the girls to grow and deal with issues they so dearly need to handle.

For rose it's her resentment towards Lissa
Not being able to be with who she wanted to be with,
not being able to live her own life,
and always having to put Lissa's needs and safety before her own.
All of these things make it hard for Rose to be around Lissa especially now that the love of her life is,
for all intents and purposes, dead.

Now we all know
- from reading the previous book -
that the main reason for Rose leaving the academy is so that she can keep her promise
and not let Dimitri live his life as a strigoi.
And although she has learned a lot since coming back to the academy
and taking out a few strigoi of her own
this promise might be one that she
can not keep, and if she is not careful she might end up facing and fate worse than death.

Uglies Review

4/5☆☆☆☆

In a world where everyone gets to become pretty at the age of sixteen,
where everyone undergoes surgery to become the ideal image of beauty
and no one - except those who are underage - has to deal with
the harshness of being ugly,
how could anything possibly go wrong?

Tally Youngblood can not wait until her sixteenth birthday to finally have the operation
so that she can be with her friend Perish in New Pretty Town
where all the new pretties live.
Where everyone has big eyes, plump lips and high cheek bones and perfect skin.
In New Pretty Town everyone's only job is to have fun.
It's been Tally's dream for as long as she can remember
and in only a few weeks she'll be there partying with all her old friends
who have already gotten the operation.
All she has to do is keep out of trouble for a few more weeks
and she and Perish - her best friend - will be together again.

Except Tally's new friend, Shay, doesn't want to become pretty.
She's convinced that the operation takes away more than just your ugly features.
Days before their birthday Shay decides to runaway
and take her chances outside the city to live
among other uglies who, like her, refuses to be made pretty.

When Tally is taken to New Pretty Town for her operation
she's exposed to a very ugly side of the pretties
working in special circumstances and  is given an ultimatum:
Find Shay and turn her and the other runaways in,
or stay ugly forever.

***

This book really shows how obsessed society is with looking a certain way.
It shows how cruel we can be to one another just because someone simply looks or acts different.
We give each other nicknames that point out our flaws just like the characters in the book
for example: Stick, Squint, Nose etc.
We make ourselves believe we are nothing because we are "ugly"
and most of us would risk our lives by going under the knife
and go through a massive surgery just to become "pretty",
to become accepted, without fully understanding
that we are just being brainwashed into thinking a certain way.
Being tricked into thinking that big eyes, a thin nose and full lips and a certain height
is what makes a person pretty.
I've read a few reviews before finally reading this book
and a few of the people who wrote them were upset because they
felt that this type of society is unbelievable, but I disagree.
If you pay attention you can see how society judges people who look different
and they're telling people they have to look a certain way to be beautiful
and there are many people out there who would do anything
just to become "pretty".

Maybe if more of those people can read this book
or books similar to this they can see how wrong they are
and change some of their minds.

Vampire Academy Review

4/5  ☆☆☆☆

If you have been unlucky enough to have seen the movie before reading the book
-as I have- then I want you to forget everything you saw and felt about the movie.
Forget about the actors, the acting, the storyline...everything.
Just shake it all out of that pretty little head of yours.
If you loved it, hated it, somewhat liked it, I don't care.
 forget it!
Forget it all and read Vampire Academy and then decide how you feel about it.

The movie is good, I liked it, but I might be a little bias because one of my lady crush stars as the bad ass Rose Hathaway.

This book is the perfect example of "The book is better than the movie" line you hear from every die hard bibliophile.

Rosemary Hathaway is a kick ass Dhampir who has dedicated her life to protecting the Moroi -  Most importantly her best friend Vasilisa- against the strigoi.
Strigoi are undead vampires whose purpose in life is pretty much to drain blood and life
out of every moroi, dhampire and human they come across.

Vasilisa Dragomir is a Moroi Princess.
The Dragomir's are one of the twelve royal families and  Lissa is the last of her bloodline.

Some time after the accident that killed her entire family, Lissa began noticing some weird things happening to and around her. The usually sweet and caring Lissa would experience violent mood swings, depression and sometimes got the feeling that someone was watching her.

After what happened to their teacher Ms. Karp and her warning about Lissa
Rose does not hesitate in deciding to take Lissa away from St.Vladimir Academy
to hide and live among humans to protect her.

Two years on the run and the girls are caught and dragged back to the academy.

St. Vladimir is supposed to be a safe environment for both moroi and dhampirs
but when Lissa starts getting threats in the form of dead animals in her dorm room
and attacks against her from a jealous, stuck up, royal wannabe
Rose goes on high alert and steps up her game as guardian
and if you read this book you'll know that Rose is the type to punch first and find out who she actually hit later.
*incoming Rosemary Hathaway gifs*

If you haven't read Vampire Academy yet you should
and if all of the action isn't enough to get you to read this then please for the love of Romitiri (Rose+Dimitri)
pick up the book!

Richelle Mead is killing my heart with the adorableness of these two
and just look what it's doing to Amy Pond!

The Nightlife : New York Review

5/5 ☆☆☆☆☆
[17+]
[Excuse me while I do my best Kenzi (lost girl) Impression]
Lap dances, strippers, escorts, oh my!
Vampires, blood, sex, oooh my...
Masters, blood slaves, corruption,  ooh crap balls!

***

The Nightlife: New York by Travis Luedke is exciting, violent and sexy!

This violently sexy story introduces us to Aaron Pilan, a young man who has been emotionally neglected by both his estranged mother and ex-girlfriend.
His only friends are Delia , a bratty and selfish ex, and his roommate Kyle.
Aaron lives his life day to day and has depressingly fallen into a routine of work, buying beer for his friends,  pining over his ex.

His life sort of resembles that of Wesley Gibson from the movie Wanted.
If you saw the movie then you know that
Wesley had a depressing life of:
lousy job
 bitchy girlfriend
 shitty friend
 eat, sleep, shit
and if he was lucky things got really exciting
when his body decides to give him a good ol panic attack.
So, yeah... basically he was a flat out loser.
Until fate put him in the path of the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.
For Wesley it was a smoking hot female named Fox.
For Aaron it was the beautiful Michelle.

Turns out Michelle is a vampire.
Aaron's first encounter with Michelle leads to him getting shot
after she is forced to defend herself against two disgusting and corrupt cops.
She briefly considers leaving him to die but his attempt to
save her from the other two men made her feel a bit
responsible for him being injured.
Guilt gets the better of her
and she decides to do what she promised herself
she would never do.
She saves his life, although by doing so
she has not only turned him into what she is,
but has also bound him to her for eternity
 - a lifetime of servitude.

She may be his master and he her servant,
but to Aaron being bound to his savior is the best thing that could ever happen to him.
Even if that does mean leaving everything he knows behind
Or that she is probably a bit psychotic.
One mistake could cause him to lose his life at the hands of this beautiful creature
yet he couldn't imagine a life without her.
Turns out Aaron is a natural at being a vampire
and soon learns to love his
new life with Michelle
but things go downhill pretty fast for our vampiric duo
when a couple of corrupt cops are out for revenge against Michelle
and Delia's jealously kicks in
but Michelle's quick and violent temper and trust issues might be the real threat.

Devour Review

4/5☆☆☆☆

We all know what happens when an immortal being and a human fall in love.
All hell breaks lose!
Eli is a devour.
His kind feeds off of the negative emotions that humans feel.
They force them in to a reverie and well mostly scare the living poo out of them
so that they can feed.
They think highly of themselves and believe themselves to be the superior race over all species.

Although it is his nature to be -what he considers - evil, he fights it.
For years he has fought his nature yearning to be human,
refusing to force fear or lust (or any negative emotions) onto people, he feeds on  whatever emotion someone may be feeling as he passes by.
Of course for someone of his kind that is an impossible way to live
and he suffers dearly for it.
Until he meets Clara.
For some reason Clara is different to him.
He can feel positive emotions from her, something that he has never felt before.
He grow an attachment towards her,but as they grow closer and their bond grows stronger trouble finds it's way toward them.

The devourer counsel is after them now -thanks to a jealous and vindictive devourer named Angelina- Eli because he is a traitor to his kind and Clara... well, because she is simply human.

Shelly Crane is beyond amazing.
She is one of my favorite authors and if you've read and enjoyed her Significance series you will definitely love this series as well.

What is there not to love?
Perfect title
Gorgeous book cover
Amazing book boyfriend

I could go on  forever
but you should really be reading the first page of this book  right now sooo

Deep Blue Secret Review

4/5 ☆☆☆☆

I absolutely adore this story.

Rayne and Sadie are utterly adorable in this first book of The Water Keepers series.

Usually the story is a bit like this:
girl meets boy
boy saves girl
they fall in love
and then
they both dive head first into a relationship filled with passion and lust (depending on which story you're reading), but the point is that they always rush into a relationship with someone who is pretty much a stranger

LIKE HELLO, STRANGER DANGER!

I like how both Sadie and Rayne have this intense emotional connection with each other,
yet neither one of them gives into it.

Sadie is always thinking that she is weak, but honestly I feel that she is very strong, emotionally, because if I had my emotions amplified by some magical water I would definitely be all over Rayne like… well wet on rain. (har-har I know I am hilarious) It is obvious that Sadie is in love with Rayne, but she does a pretty good job of keeping put.

Seriously though, her emotions were everywhere and she still managed to control her self, and not only with Rayne. Poor Sadie would be happy one moment and then severely depressed another.
The only way I can properly explain this is to compare her emotions
to that of a whovians, on Christmas night, during
The Time of The Doctor
(minus the screaming)

***************************************************************************

Summary

Sadie is a normal seventeen year old girl.
She is carefree and very social at her school talking to everyone she meets
and always has a happy and energetic vibe about her… or so it appears.
Sadie tends to spiral into an emotional slump
at the sound of music that either is or attached to some sort of sad or depressing memory. Sometimes for no reason at all she will become physically exhausted and unhappy.

As if those random episodes aren't enough Sadie's love life, or lack there of suddenly becomes complicated when a strange and incredibly handsome young man saves her from a near death experience. Her relationship with him becomes this huge emotional roller coaster ride. She is falling for him, but her feelings might not even be real - just a side affect of the healing water -  and besides knowing that he is only there to keep her safe - as a bodyguard - and nothing more makes things a bit frustrating for her.

Sadie doesn't understand why her emotions are out of control.
She is struggling to keep her feelings for Rayne, which might not even be real, to herself.
She knows something weird is going, and that Rayne holds all the answers to her questions,
but the most important question that has been bothering her since finding out about him is

Why does she even need a (keeper) secret agent to keep her safe?

Tomorrow Land Review

4/5 ☆☆☆☆

Holy futuristic zombie apocalypse!
Secret government agents
Flesh eating zombies
Betrayal
Heartache
Addiction
Cybernetic implants
Gladiators
Love
&
a boatload of innocent children

This trip through futuristic zombie land will be a walk in the park,
or rather a walk to Disneyland.

With an important code saved locked away in her head
Peyton and Chase make their way across dangerous territories
with a group of orphaned children to Disneyland where Peyton's
father awaits her arrival.

After being locked underground for four years she is on a mission to save what is
left of the human race, but can she make it in time before the cybernetic implants,
created by her own father, fails and her body starts breaks down?
Will traveling with Chase, her former love, complicate her mission?
and how can she travel to Disneyland, fend off zombies and protect a group of mostly children safe from a fate worse than death while her only capable companion is constantly putting them in danger?

….
Sometimes finding a good Zombie Apocalypse book is hard to come by
because after a while they all start to sound the same, but I can say for sure that this book was like nothing I have ever read before.

The back and forth between chapters, going from the present to the past repeatedly, was extremely frustrating, but by the time I got to the end of the story I could not have imagined this book being written any other way.

This book was absolutely fantastic!

Significance Review

4/5 ☆☆☆☆

Maggie is a normal seventeen year old girl who has just graduated from high school. She thinks of her self as average and feels like she's been abandoned by everyone who should care about her. Her mother walked out on both her and her father claiming that they were unappreciative and did not love her enough - I know what a major B*otch. Her father has pretty much lived his life on autopilot ever since his wife left him and has been too depressed to be a father to Maggie and if that is not sad enough the last member of her family, her brother Bish, has moved to New York leaving her practically an orphan.
Oh and yes lets add more problems to Maggie's life by having her boyfriend breakup with her when she needed him the most.

The closest thing to a family Maggie has is her obnoxious best friend Becca and Kyle her childhood friend, who has had a crush on her since FOREVER! and the lovely group of people she works with at a local diner.

But things change for Maggie when she decides to cave and accepts Kyle's billionth request for a date. That is when she meets Kyle's cousin, Caleb. She is drawn to Caleb and soon finds out that he is her soul mate. No really! Her actual soul mate.

Maggie and Caleb imprint on each other.

For the Aces (a race of supernatural beings that has been hidden from humans for centuries) this is a miracle. Imprinting is returning to their race helping them to not only find their soul mates but also saving them from extinction. Now you would think that Aces all around the world would be ecstatic about this kind of news but that is not the case.

The Watson's, a rival clan of the Jacobson's, are furious and filled with jealousy because they were not chosen to be the first to imprint. Adding insult to injury, not only did a member of their rival clan imprint before them but it was done with a human, Maggie, something the Watson's find disgusting.

The Watson's have always envied the Jacobson clan and thought themselves superior over everyone, especially humans, so when Maggie and Caleb imprinted on each other, when none else has in years, well that was the last straw for them.

Although it is against Ace laws to harm another clan they set out to separate Maggie and Caleb before they can ascend ((OH NO! if you think I am going to tell you what that means you are so out of luck. :) It is way to awesome to explain. You better go read the book!)) and possibly kill her

Will Maggie and Caleb survive the physical torture and withdrawal from being away from their soul mate for such a long period? ((oh yea. Being away from your soul mate for a long period of time -even over night - can cause withdrawal making your body feel as if you've been hit by an 18-wheeler and dragged ten blocks.))

Or will the Watson's finally get what they have been craving for for years?
The destruction of the Jacobson clan.

I'm thinking I need to buy some more books.
Even with the one that I have on my nook I feel like this is not
enough!

Uninvited Review

4/5 ☆☆☆☆

I really enjoyed reading Uninvited.

Davy Hamilton has the perfect life.
She has the perfect jock boyfriend that every body wants. The perfect best friend to help her with her calculus class and homework. She’s a musical prodigy attending one of the finest schools in the country with a bright future at Juilliard ahead of her. Nothing could possibly go wrong.
Or can it?
One phone call from her mom and her world is flipped upside down. Davy has been tested positive for HTS (Homicidal Tendency Syndrome) - a code in her DNA that says that one day she will kill someone. That she is a killer.
Poor Davy has never hurt a fly yet everyone she knows turns on her - afraid that one day she might attack one of them. Now she is all alone with no friends, no boyfriend, and NO JUILLIARD! Everything she has ever known, everything she has worked for has been taken away from her. Being an HTS Carrier means being treated as a criminal even though you have never done anything bad in your life. Being an HTS carrier beens being thrown in a cage. Being an HTS carrier means you are dangerous and one day you will kill someone and Davy Hamilton, sweet Davy Hamilton, gets an up close and personal view of the real world outside the comfort zone of her cozy life as a musical prodigy. Where HTS carriers like herself are braned as dangerous and are treated like animals. Whether they have hurt someone or not it does not matter. It is in their DNA. It will happen eventually. All HTS carriers are dangerous. Or at least that’s what they say.
Will Davy end up a killer like they say she will?
Or what about Sean ? The super hot HTS carrier who is always protecting Davy.
Xoxoxo

Gawwwwd ! Do you know how hard it was to not give out some major spoilers asdfghjkl …. well it doesn’t seem like Davy’s story is over so I am totally looking forward to the next book ♡♥

Uninvited

"…Davy test positive for Homicidal Tendency Syndrome aka 'the kill gene' … her parents are now afraid of her - although she's never hurt a fly. Davy doesn't feel any different, but her genes don't lie. One day she will kill someone." - Uninvited

"YOU CAN'T CHANGE YOUR DNA … EVEN WHEN IT SAYS YOU'RE A MURDERER."
- Uninvited

"Uninvited asks the question: Will you let the world define who you are or will you choose to define yourself? Put simply, I loved this book!" -Carrie Ryan, New York Times bestselling author of the Forest of Hands and Teeth series

When one of your favorite authors says that she loves a book then I say that book is definitely worth reading. Right?

Right.

I came across this book at Barnes and Nobles and after reading the summary I thought "hmm… this seems a bit interesting" but honestly it was Carrie Ryan's review that made me take it home. I love her books and if it is good enough for her then it is good enough for me.

I hope you enjoy it just as much as I did.

This is my first real blog and book review so please take pity on me.
