Silence Review

4/5 ☆☆☆☆

Okay, so, this book is in no way similar to any of the book I usually read.
This is not a paranormal or science fiction book.

In this book sixteen year old Oakley Farrell fights to suppress horrors from her past and focus on having a normal life.
Well, as normal as it can get for a girl who hasn't uttered a word in almost eleven years.
Physically there is nothing wrong with her... but, psychologically- that's another story.

As if she didn't already have a hard enough life the poor girl gets bullied everyday in school
but thanks to Cole, her only and best friend since she was a baby, her life is a bit bearable.

Cole is probably one of the only people in her life who fully accepts her the way she is
but as they grow closer she worries if their relationship will suffer due to the fact that
she can never communicate with him like a normal person.

Slowly Oakley starts to feel like her life is falling back into place
but when someone from her past reappears her world comes crumbling down.

Will she break her silence to keep herself safe
or will she endure further suffering in order to keep everyone she loves from hurting?

***

Personally I believe that Oakley is an incredibly strong person.
Having to deal with what she has for nearly Eleven years
and making such a difficult life changing decision towards the end just shows how strong of a person she is.
I have never read anything like this and I must admit that at times I wanted to jump into the story myself, grab Oakley and take her away from the life that she was living.
Yeah that bad.

Cole's relationship with Oakley since they were young has probably been the only thing that kept that poor girl from breaking apart and I honestly felt their heart ache once the things from her past started to catch up with her.

The only thing that bothered me about this book was the spelling errors but who am I too judge I am definitely not the worlds best speller (lol)

I really liked this book and I will read the next book... like right now!
I need to know what happens next and god I hope ..... [Nope. Look at me about to give out spoilers]

This book is available as an e-book free on Kindle
